Theoben have long been associated with manufacturing high quality air rifles & implementing innovative ideas. They were the first, well known manufacturer of a multishot pre-charged pneumatic air rifle & have remained popular since. They canstantly introduce new products to their range & often surprise the market with their originality in design. Several new features have been included on this model as well as some of our tried and tested ones. Stylish ambidextrous beech stock, latest generation H.E. Gas Ram System, Evolution trigger, Hi gloss black finished action and barrel.
This new model is powered by our latest generation H.E. (high efficiency) Gas Ram System which improves consistency and reliability. Using new piston crown material our specially designed Zephyr grooves are no longer in the piston crown but now machined into the end-wall of the compression chamber.
The Evolution is available with a choice of stocks: A left or right hand Walnut stock (see other page for more info) or this sturdy ambidextrous Beech stock which has laser cut checkering on the pistol grip and forend, and fitted with a ventilated recoil pad.
We have designed this rifle to be the new entry level model of our renowned range. But we haven’t scrimped on quality or taken shortcuts. Everything is as you would expect of a Theoben; high quality parts and materials means very low maintenance and the H.E. system means almost no recoil, making it very easy to shoot.
The Evolution requires mounts to enable a scope to be fitted. These screw onto the action, giving perfect scope alignment and guaranteed not to let the scope shift and loosed zero. Mounts are available to fit both 1" and 30mm tube scopes. The Dampa Mount give fantastic accuracy even with less expensive scope.
This rifle has been quoted by Terry Doe as being ‘one of the fittest sporters money can buy’. Thanks to the superbly contoured stock with its checkered pistol grip and forend with an oiled finish.

Several new features have been included on this model, as well as some of our tried and tested ones. A traditionally styled ambidextrous Beech Stock, dovetail grooves in the action, latest generation H.E. Gas Ram System, Evolution Trigger, blacked finished action and barrel.
The Crusader has been developed for shooters who want extra power over a legal limit gun but do not want the extremes of the mighty Eliminator!
This 'mid power rifle', as it has been called, has a moulded piston crown produced from a material that is capable of withstanding great heat without burning, rather than seals used in the Eliminator. Due to the use of a piston crown and it's 'mid power' setting, this means it is considerabley smoother to shoot.

The main action has been machined to accept dovetail style mounts similar to our patented Dampa Mount that is supplied with each rifle, this gives more flexibilty as to the mounting point of the scope.
The Crusader, as with all our break barrels, is fitted with our Evolution Trigger. This is a two stage, adjustable trigger with an automatic safety catch.
With a choice of either an Evolution or Vortex silencer or for countries prohibiting the use of silencers, a barrel weight. Fitted with an ambidextrous Beech stock for rigidity and finished in our usual high standards of blacking, giving the Crusader a truly traditional look as on all Theoben products.

Theoben Eliminator / Crow Magnum~Choice of silencer
FAC Rated~The power has been achieved by the combination of producing the rifle with a long stroke piston and specially developed piston recoil damper valve and the well tried Theoben H.E. gas ram system.
Power is unchanging for thousands of rounds. No maintenance required and totally reliable. In fact in many situations this rifle will rival the job that a rim fire rifle can do without the problem of over shooting. This makes for an easier time when applying for a Fire Arms Certificate on a smaller piece of land.
When using the pellets recommended by Theoben the accuracy achieved by well known target shooter and writer, Terry Doe was outstanding, even at 50 yards. However, care must be taken on selecting pellet types because many just won't stand the pace.
The Evolution Trigger mechanism is based around a falling block system. It is a fully 2 stage unit with adjustment for second stage weight and travel. The .22 calibre is fitted with an Anschütz barrel, the .20 and .25 calibres are fitted with selected Walther barrels, both types are high quality and they are choked so accuracy is guaranteed. The stock is made from African Hardwood called Hyedua (shed-u-a), extremely pleasing to the eye and completely stable in use.

Standard or FAC Rated (FAC version is only available in .22)~In 1988 the first Theoben SLR 88 ‘Self Loading Rifle’ was made. Production of this excellent and popular rifle lasted for only four years as manufacture of the complex components was proving too costly. CNC machinery made it possible to re-introduce this superb rifle, as too did advances in our own patented designs of the H.E. System and Evolution trigger. New production methods allowed excess metal to be machined away to lighten the gun. So once again the superb benefits of this magazine fed, multi-shot, self loading underlever rifle are available to you the customer and shooter.
The SLR uses our H.E. (High Efficiency) Gas Ram System with floating Inertia for ultra low recoil. This gives a highly consistent muzzle velocity (1% on test rifle with Crosman Premier Pellets). It also allows for a low cocking effort and no internal maintentance is required.
The Evolution Trigger is a two-stage system with adjustment for second stage weight and travel down to 1½ lbs pull and also has an automatic safety catch.
A world class Anschütz barrel is fitted and choked for superb accuracy. The integral silencer system makes use of the underlever to increase the internal volume and disperse sound more efficiently.
A right hand Walnut stock is fitted with a chequered pistol grip and forend (left hand also available).
The rifle is finished to the usual high standard of polished and blued steel.
Experience has shown that Theoben rifles hardly drop in value over time if they are kept in good condition.

The world class Anschütz barrels fitted to .177 and .22 calibres and selected Walther barrels on .20 and .25 calibres see to that . Seven or twelve shots in .22 cal, twelve shots in .20 and .25 or 17 shots in .177 calibre can be taken with deadly accuracy with minimum fuss, utilising the same faultless magazine system proven on the SLR 88/98.
The .22 and .177 calibres are most popular in the UK as there is a large selection of pellets to choose from. Accuracy is outstanding in both calibres and they are available in 12ft/lbs and FAC specification.
The .20 calibre is the most popular calibre in America, the reason being, that it hits as hard as a .22 calibre but is flat shooting like a .177. It will transform your approach to shooting whether targets or live quarry. The effective range of a 12ft/lbs version will impress even the most discerning air gunner. However, the FAC version shows this as the most efficient of all calibres. The combination of weight against a relatively small cross sectional area makes long range highly accurate shooting a reality.
The .25 calibre is only available in FAC and is fitted with a longer barrel. It has easily adjustable power; for example, using 27 grain H&N Ram Points you can get between 33ft/lbs with 70 shots to 40ft/lbs and 33 shots just by adjusting the rear cap. Best accuracy is acheived with 24 grain Bisley Superfield, lighweight pellets exceed 900 fps.
All of the Rapid Range of rifles are available an FAC version. All can achieve a humane killing distance of 60 yards, although it is possible to kill at a distance of 70/80 yards if you have the skill & marksmanship.

Theoben Rapid MKII~The best Theoben made better!~The Rapid Mk II is capable of 420 shots per charge in .22 calibre at 12ft/lbs.
The Rapid MkII makes an excellent addition to the original Rapid range and is fitted with new and improved features.
Our new design of regulator (patent applied) is fitted to all 12ft/lbs versions. The new and improved features have increased the shots per charge available from a 400cc bottle from between 50% and 150% compared to the original Rapid range. The shot to shot consistency is also improved - all calibres and powers have a shot variation of approximately ±1%.
Fitted with our superb two stage adjustable trigger with a manual safety. The .177 and .22 calibres also feature Anschütz barrels. Selected Walther barrels are fitted to .20 and .25 calibres. This ensures the Rapid range continue to be one of the most accurate PCP’s on the market today.
A brand new Walnut stock has been designed for this rifle, with contoured roll over cheek piece and integral trigger guard. The forend is shaped so the flowing lines make a smooth transition with the buddy bottle. With a chequered pistol grip and ventilated recoil pad it certainly feels as good as it looks! The second stock option is the CS800 stock (see pics below). This is a thumbhole stock with a chequered pistol grip and internal trigger guard.

Theoben Rapid MKII FT~With Field Target Stock~The latest generation Rapid MkII, features pinpoint .177 accuracy using a precision choked Anschütz barrel.
Our new design of regulator (pat pend) is fitted to all 12ft/lbs versions. These new and improved features have increased the shots per charge available from a 400cc bottle by 50% compared to the original Rapid MkI 17/17 FT. The shot to shot consistency is also improved - the shot variation is down to an amazing ±1%.
Fitted with the superb two-stage Match Trigger with a manual safety catch. It also features a .177 calibre Anschütz barrel, which is precision choked to ensure that the Rapid continues to be the most accurate PCP on the market today.
A brand new, beech laminate, field target stock has been designed for this rifle. It has an integral trigger guard, adjustable recoil pad, the pistol grip and forend are stippled for comfort and grip. And as with the MkII sporter stock, the forend is shaped so the flowing lines make a smooth transition with the buddy bottle.

Theoben Rapid MFR~~Based on our award winning Rapid 7 action and using a combination of the latest technology and computerised engineering methods, together with our vast experience in pre-charged pneumatics we are delighted to introduce the Rapid MFR.
The extended forend of the walnut stock gives your leading hand a comfortable place to support the rifle ‘up in the aim’, so you do not have to hold the buddy bottle.
The full length, integral silencer gives the look of a bull barrel. Its purpose is to disperse the air down the full length of the barrel, causing the sound to dissipate. This makes the silencer exceptionally quiet. For extra silencing, there is an MFR silencer with attaches directly onto the end of the integral silencer.
The loading port has been scalloped to allow three methods of loading; manual loading direct into the breech, using the single shot holder (supplied) and finally using one of our patented multi-shot magazines.
The 12ft/lbs regulator has been extensively worked on and is much more consistent than previous versions. With this much improved airflow it has given us the chance to go back to a 280cc bottle giving the rifle a slimmer look but keeping a very high number of shots per charge.

The trigger cartridge was computer modelled and designed. This fully adjustable two stage match grade trigger can easily be removed. The safety catch is manually set and the pull is comfortable in any shooting situation, though a trigger shoe can be fitted if preferred. (Optional 'Field Target' straight-bladed pull also available).

Theoben Rapid S-Type~Stunning~They said we could not improve on perfection...
...well they were wrong!
In combining the versatility of the Rapid MFR, the vast number of shots of the Rapid MkII and adding some impressive new features, we have created the S-Type.
The scalloped loading port of the Rapid MFR was a simple idea and was well-received as it allows three methods of loading; manual loading direct into the breech, using the single shot holder and finally using one of our patented multi-shot magazines making the MFR very versatile. So we have carried this popular feature over in the design of the S-Type
The regulator, fitted to both 12ft/lbs and FAC versions, has been ameliorated, making it much more consistent than previous versions. With this much improved airflow and choosing the 500cc (400cc also available) buddy bottle we are able to produce a massive 700 shots per charge in .22 calibre at 12ft/lbs. Even more reasuring is the inclusion of our new internal air particle filter to prevent debris passing through the high pressure air spaces to give maximum reliability. We are so proud of the S-Type we are happy to give a 3-year warranty. Due to popular demand, the S-Type is the first model of Rapid that comes complete with a bi-pod. We found that using a barrel or bottle mounted bi-pod can cause adverse effects with accuracy (which defeats the object of using such a device!) So we have recessed an accessory rail into to the fore-end of the Walnut stock. This descreet gismo can be used for the Deluxe Harris Bi-pod (pictured) which is supplied with this model or our quick detachable sling swivel, which can be purchased seperately.

Theoben Rapid E-Type~And now for something completely different!~If you thought you had seen everything Theoben had to offer? Just take a look at this incredible piece of innovative design and precise engineering. We just like to call it … the E-type.
Out goes our 15-year trademark buddy bottle look, and in comes a sleek new detachable 120cc reservoir. This has allowed us to achieve a much sleeker look and a substantial weight reduction. The process included moving the reservoir closer to the barrel, giving better balance and now weighing in at a little under 7lbs.
The next major transformation are “RAILS”. Yes that’s right, rails! 115mm at the rear and 40mm in front of the magazine housing, giving you the user as much choice as possible where you fix your mounts, the rail accepts most 11mm dovetail mounts. A good quality two-piece mount is recommended - medium or high mount if you choose to upgrade to the shrouded silencer option or if you will be fitting a larger scope.
The Walnut stock extends forward but leaves enough space for easy removal of the bottle. The pistol grip and forend feature laser cut chequering. The reasonably priced base model has practical Walnut ambidextrous stock – suitable for the left or right-handed shooter, but there is the option of a dedicated left hand or right hand Walnut stock.
The cocking is super slick, it has a set of race ball-bearings for centrally guiding as the bolt is pulled to its rear cocked position. A phosphor bronze bearing guides the bolt itself, in all, an ultra smooth action! If that wasn’t enough, the bolt handle is fully reversible - equal opportunities for both left or right-handed shooters!
Fitted with the ‘Series Four’ trigger, the same unit sold with our more expensive pre-charged rifles, a two-stage adjustable, match quality trigger, with a manual safety catch.
Supplied with a single shot holder that will load from the left or right, or any degree in between. Also accepts any of our 7,12 or 17 shot magazines (dependant on calibre). So versatile that single and multi-shot is achieved from the single one gun!
If you like the look of a bull-barrel, not a problem, Theoben’s shrouded silencer will slide straight on at a later date, however have it fitted from new and gain the best results from this full-length, fully baffled and chambered silencer.
The E-Type comes with a standard 120cc slim bottle. However, there are three options; the standard bottle, a bottle with pressure gauge or one with a quick fill coupling. The quick fill will give you the ability of charging the rifle without removing the bottle. It will also give you slightly more shots per charge. 65 unregulated shots or 110 regulated shots (in tests .22 cal).
With choice of calibre, stock, bottle, bolt, regulator, mounts, single or multi shot, barrel finisher or silencer, you can make the rifle suit your requirements – making the E-Type the ultimate pre-charged of its kind!
